Scholarships

WAO Outstanding Student Scholarship

**Only one nominee per school is allowed**

Scholarships will be awarded to Wyoming high school seniors based on the recommendation of a high school administrator or counselor and the student's personal essay expressing why they feel they should be considered.  Only one student per High School is allowed to be nominated. The scholarship award is a one time award of $2000, payable to the institution of the student's choice. The scholarship must be used within one year of high school graduation.

• Must be a current Wyoming high school graduating senior to be eligible

• Students must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA (through graduation) and a minimum of 18 ACT; in order to be considered. Please submit official transcript and test scores, at time of application and post-graduation.

• This is a one-time scholarship which may be used at any community college, college, university or trade school of the student's choice - in-state or out-of-state.

• Complete scholarship applications must be emailed or postmarked by March 1, 2026. Please send scholarship applications to:

Incomplete application packets without recommendations, transcripts and/or test scores will NOT be considered. 

2026 WAO HS Scholarship Application

WAO Outstanding Transfer Student Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Wyoming community college students that are transferring  to a four-year institution the following fall based on the recommendation of an administrator or staff member/counselor and the student's personal essay expressing why they feel they should be considered. The scholarship award is a one time award of $2000, payable to the institution of the student's choice.

• Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA (through graduation) in order to be considered. Please submit transcript at time of application.

• This is a one-time scholarship which may be used at any college, university or trade school of the student's choice -- in-state or out-of-state, used the fall or spring semester following graduation.

• Complete scholarship applications must be emailed or postmarked by March 1, 2026. Please send scholarship applications to:

Please attach the student essay, the Counselor/Administrator Recommendation and transcript when submitting, otherwise they will be considered incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2026 WAO Transfer Scholarship Application
